Standard (Open Circuit) Systems
In Open Circuit Solar Hot Water Systems the water from the tank is transferred directly up into the solar collectors, where it is heated and then returned back to the tank for storage. The Dux Sunpro range of heaters monitor the temperature in both the panels and the storage tank using Dux's patented Hotlogic® system. This system knows exactly when to use the hot water created in the collectors and also helps ensure that the back up gas or electricity is only used when absolutely necessary, normally during periods of consistent cloud cover and/or higher than usual hot water demand.
Solar Frost Technology Kit
The SUNPRO® Solar frost technology kit (optional) protects your system from freezing, thus still provides the opportunity for homeowners to enjoy solar hot water
benefits, where you may not think it possible! Solar Frost Technology Kits (SFT4) are mandatory on all Victorian and Tasmanian installs. For other mandatory install areas please refer to map below.
