Smart Controls via Smart Life App
Every Dux Ecosmart heat pump features a built in smart controller that simple mode selection at the touch of a button. This range offers even more functionality accessible when connected to the Dux Smart Life App.
The Smart Life App gives you more control over the operation of the water heater. Easily program your water heater to run in various modes based on the hot water needs. Also provides additional flexibility to boost your hot water output.
The Smart life App can enable scheduling of the heat pump to operate on certain days and times.
Features
The water heater can be programmed to run in various modes based on the requirements of the user. The following are the various modes and features available for the water heater. Some of these modes are only available when using the Smart Life App.
Eco
This is the primary mode of the water heater. In this mode, the heat pump will heat the tank to 60°C in each heating cycle.
Boost
In the boost mode, both heat pump and heating element will simultaneously heat the water to 60°C. Boost is a ‘one-shot’ operation and the heat pump will move to ECO mode after one heating cycle in BOOST mode.
Holiday
The heat pump or heating element won’t be operational in Holiday mode. The tank will be maintained between 5°C and 10°C to prevent freezing of water in the tank.
Scheduling
The water heater can be scheduled to operate only at particular times of the day. Please note that scheduling the water heater to run only at particular times of the day increases the risk of running out of hot water.
If you run out, you will need to schedule additional hours in which the water heater can heat. As the heating rate is slower in cold ambient conditions, you are more likely to experience this during the winter months.
