How to change the frost cycle of the controller
H3214 Dux Solar controller frost cycle parameter for Gen2 Solar tanks

BEFORE YOU START
When Gen2 Solar tanks are used to replace existing solar tanks in frost areas (“Not suitable” result from the web site below), the frost parameter of the H3214 Dux Solar controller MUST BE CHANGED.

This instruction to be followed only if the installation area result is “Not suitable”.

CAUTION
Ensure services to the unit are isolated prior to commencing any work

Parameters of the H3214 not to be changed if the installation area result is “Suitable”.

Procedure

  1. Plug in the Resol controller to the GPO and power ON and confirm the screen is displaying
  2. The controller is operated via the 3 push buttons below the display
  3. Button 1 (+) – scrolling forwards, increasing adjustment values
  4. Button 2 (-) – scrolling backwards, reducing adjustment values
  5. Button 3 (OK) – confirming / selecting
  6. During normal operation, display channels will be displayed
  7. In order to scroll between display channels, press Buttons 1 and 2

Access to adjustment channels

  1. Use Button 1 in order to scroll to the last display channel, then press and hold down Button 1 for approx. 2 seconds

If an adjustment channel is shown on the screen, SET will be displayed on the right-hand side next to the channel name

  1. When SET is displayed, keep on pressing Button 1 until adjustment channel “CFR” displayed
  2. Press Button 3 in order to select “CFR” adjustment channel; SET starts flashing
  3. Immediately keep on pressing Button 1 until the value of “CFR” is 5.0
  4. Briefly press Button 3, “CFR” is now set to 5.0
  5. Reconnect services to unit
  6. Confirm correct operation of Resol controller and that solar gain is occurring
