Compared to a standard electric water heater, they’re approximately 4 times more energy efficient, making them a great choice for households looking to reduce both their energy use and carbon footprint.
They utilise the latest compressor technology from GMCC, and heat using R290 refrigerant. This is a refrigerant with a low, global warming potential of less than 3, ensuring its naturally better for the environment.
Compact Footprint, Higher Output
Available in 200L and 285L tank sizes, they fit on the same footprint as the popular outdoor large electric models they’re designed to replace. They also now feature a higher heating output for faster heating than previous DHA series Ecosmart models from Dux, and are more efficient too.
Heat pumps absorb free heat energy from the ambient air and use ‘reverse cycle’ technology to heat your water. It’s this technology that enables the Dux Ecosmart heat pump to use as little as a quarter of the energy compared to a standard electric water heater.

Every model features a smart, WIFI enabled controller providing the choice of multiple operating modes, including ECO, Boost and Holiday to suit your application and maximise your savings. These are accessible through the controller screen, or via the Smart Life App.
For cold conditions, or for when you need extra hot water fast, you can use Boost mode. This powers on a heating element to provide a ‘one shot’ boost which works simultaneously with the heat pump. In sub-zero temperatures, its automatic defrost function may activate to de-ice the evaporator ensuring the heat pump can operate in most climates all year round.
