Our new Dux Ecosmart heat pumps are the next generation of environmentally friendly water heaters. They combine high energy efficiency and class leading technology with reliable performance that you’ve come to expect from Dux.
They’re a great alternative to lower your household energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions, or to even consume free energy produced by your solar PV system. Our heat pumps are manufactured right here in Australia, and have been specifically designed for Australian homes and conditions.
Heat pumps absorb free heat energy from the ambient air and use ‘reverse cycle’ technology to heat your water. Just like a fridge, except in reverse. Using this technology, and our patented, fully immersed dual wall heating coil, Dux Ecosmart heat pump hot water systems are up to 4 times# more energy efficient than a standard electric water heater. As they use a mere quarter of the energy compared to traditional electric water heaters, they can help achieve big savings off your energy bills.
Available in 200L and 285L tank sizes, they fit on the same footprint as popular outdoor large electric models they’ve been designed to replace. And they’re single piece design means they can even be installed by regular hot water trades.

Our smart WIFI enabled controller provides multiple operating modes to suit your application and maximise your savings. Whether that’s scheduling the operation of your water heater to coincide with solar PV, setting it to only work in low-cost tariff periods, providing a boost for additional recovery when using lots of hot water, or even when venturing off on holidays, there’s a configuration to suit. These are accessible through the Dux HP App or via the heat pumps touch control pad.

The inclusion of a back-up heating element on all models means reliable hot water is available, all year round. Our active defrost function quickly melts ice build-up, even in cold winter conditions, before the heat pump gets back to heating.
